I can record songs using the microphone onto my Verizon Chocolate, but how can I use them as a ringtone? – Deblaroe
Unfortunately, the Verizon Chocolate allows you only to add new ringtones from the Get It Now Verizon menu option, which means you’ll need to purchase them. In short, you can’t save songs you may have uploaded to the LG Chocolate or recordings you made on the fly as ringtones on that particular cell phone. In the future, if this is an important feature for you, look for a cell phone where you can save songs or recordings as ringtones.
I have a Samsung SGH-a737 cell phone. I am using a USB cable so that I can connect to my computer. When I do that, it doesn’t recognize the USB device, which is my phone. I bought the cable online. When I got the cable, it had a USB data cable disc that I loaded on my computer. Thanks – nrtt
First, yes the USB device is your cell phone. The good news is that there’s a solution, and you should be able to connect the Samsung SGH-a737 to your computer using the cable that you purchased. Since you bought the USB cable separately, the software you loaded probably wasn’t for the Samsung cell phone you have. In the future, if you find yourself in the same situation, before loading the software on your computer, first go online to the phone’s manufacturer website and download the correct drivers for your cell phone; then connect the phone via the USB cable. However, no worries, as this can be remedied. It’ll take a few steps, but basically you need to update the drivers on your computer so that the cell phone can talk to your computer. Here’s a list of steps to follow and select “Updating USB Drivers For Samsung Mobile Devices and PC Studio,” it shouldn’t take longer than 5 or 10 minutes. Good luck!
